Goal
Generate enough strong mockups to support listing creation and choose the set you want attached to the product. The Launch flow requires at least five selected mockups before moving to the listing step.
Mockup Types
Vaybel generates three types of mockups:
Product Flats
Clean product-on-background renders showing the design on the garment. These are the standard product images buyers expect — front, back, and detail angles on a neutral or styled background.
Detail Shots
Close-up renders that highlight print quality, texture, and design placement. Useful for showing the design at a level of detail that flat shots do not capture.
Virtual Try-On (VTO)
AI-generated images of virtual models wearing your product. Vaybel uses your Brand DNA audience profiles (age, gender, ethnicity, style) to generate models that match your target customer. The models are styled based on your brand's niche so the overall look feels cohesive with your brand.
This is why audience setup in Brand DNA matters — it directly shapes who appears in your VTO mockups and how they are styled.
How Brand DNA Feeds In
- Audience drives virtual model generation — age range, gender, ethnicity, and psychographic description determine what the models look like and how they dress.
- Niche influences model styling — a streetwear brand gets different outfit styling than a business casual brand.
- If no audience is configured, Vaybel falls back to default model generation.
Colorway Mockups
If you added colorways in the design step, Vaybel generates separate flat mockups for each garment color. These appear grouped by color in the mockup studio so you can review each colorway's rendering.
Selection Guidance
Prefer mockups that:
- clearly show the design
- vary angle or context enough to support the listing
- match the audience and product type
- avoid redundant near-duplicates
Minimum is not quality
Five selected mockups is the workflow minimum, not the quality standard. Select the strongest set, not just any five.
