Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot Listing Publish Failures

Recover from draft generation issues, bad channel state, and publish-time failures after review.

Updated 2026-04-09

Where Publish Failures Usually Come From

Most listing publish failures are caused by one of these:

  • the channel connection is not healthy
  • the channel is connected but mapped to the wrong Production Partner or fulfillment setup
  • the draft is missing acceptable content or images
  • the listing exists in a bad external state and needs refresh or cleanup

Fast Triage

  1. Confirm the draft belongs to the intended workspace.
  2. Confirm the channel still shows Active.
  3. Confirm the linked Production Partner is correct.
  4. Confirm the draft content and images are present.
  5. Retry only after the mapping and draft state make sense.

If Draft Generation Fails

Check:

  • whether enough mockups were selected
  • whether the product design is valid
  • whether the channel is actually connected

If Publish Starts But Does Not Complete

Check:

  • whether the external listing already exists in a conflicting state
  • whether the channel scopes or permissions changed
  • whether the Production Partner to sales channel mapping is wrong

Good Recovery Pattern

  1. Fix the smallest concrete issue first.
  2. Re-run one draft or one publish.
  3. Validate the result on the actual sales channel.
  4. Avoid bulk retries until one controlled case succeeds.
